Hi everyone,
I’ve been trying to use BlompGo after seeing the link on Blomp’s official dashboard — but I’m running into serious problems. And now I’m starting to wonder if this app is even officially supported anymore.
1. Broken Download Link
On the Blomp homepage (https://www.blomp.com ), under “Get Your Z: Drive Now!”, there’s a clear button:
“Download BlompGo for Windows 8 and 10”
Clicking it leads to:
Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.
Apache/2.4.65 (Ubuntu) Server at www.blomp.com Port 443
I checked — this has been reported before in old forum threads, but no official fix or explanation was given.
Eventually, I found a reference to BlompGo 2.5.2 in an old discussion and downloaded it manually from a third-party link. Installed it. But… is this even the real thing?

2. No Settings, No Tray Control
Installation completed without errors. I logged in with my email, set my sync folder (C:\1), and confirmed everything.
But here’s the issue:
The system tray icon didn’t appear at first.
After restarting the app, it showed up — but right-clicking it gives only two options: Exit and Logout.
No settings menu. No sync status. No logs. No way to check if it’s even connected.
This feels like a half-baked client — not a full desktop sync tool.
3. Syncing Just Doesn’t Work
I dropped a test file into C:\1.
→ Nothing appeared in my Blomp cloud account.
I created a new folder in the web interface.
→ It never showed up locally.
I rebooted the PC.
→ BlompGo does not auto-start, even though it should. I had to manually add it to Startup.
→ Still: zero sync activity. Files don’t upload. Folders don’t download. The app just sits there silently.
My Conclusion
This feels like abandoned software.
The official website promotes Blomp as a modern, secure, reliable cloud backup — but BlompGo is nowhere to be found in their current download section.
The only downloads listed are Blomp for Windows, Mac, and Linux — not “BlompGo”.
Why is that broken “Download BlompGo” button still live on the dashboard?
Why is there so little documentation? Why do we have to dig through old forum posts to find a working installer?
It gives the impression that Blomp tried to retire BlompGo due to instability — but forgot to remove the link. Or worse — they’re still supporting it as a legacy product, and nobody’s fixing it.
I’m now switching to Blomp for Windows (the official desktop app).
If anyone else has experience with BlompLive (is that a thing?) — please share. I’m hoping the official client works better than this ghost of a program.
Anybody else run into this? Has anyone successfully used BlompGo in the last 6 months? I’d love to know I’m not alone here.
Thanks!

Re: Multiple Issues with “BlompGo” — Is This Even an Official Product?
Hi there,
Thank you for such a detailed post and for sharing your experience. We understand how confusing it must feel to run into broken links and unclear behavior, so let us clarify things point by point:
1. Broken Download Link: BlompGo download link on dashboard has been fixed, thank you for pointing it out.
2. No Settings or Tray Control: BlompGo is designed to be lightweight. At this stage it only provides a minimal tray menu with “Logout” and “Exit.” It does not yet show sync status, progress bars, or logs. We know these features are important, and we’re actively working on improving it for better user experience.
3. Syncing Behavior: BlompGo is still officially supported, and it is a sync client, changes in the BlompGo Z: drive and your Blomp dashboard are supposed to update both ways. If that’s not happening for you, please confirm your operating system (Windows 10 or 11) and we’ll investigate more closely. Windows 10 is stable for most users, though we are aware of occasional sync issues on Windows 11.
4. BlompGo vs. BlompLive
To avoid confusion:
1. BlompGo = current desktop sync tool, supported and maintained.
2. BlompLive / Blomp.exe = older client, currently under maintenance and not supported for now.
3. Web Dashboard = always available and fully supported.
5. Documentation: We are actively improving this with clearer guides, updated links, and more transparency on which apps are supported.
Here is our troubleshoot guide on BlompGo: https://support.blomp.com/viewtopic.php ... ac3fc259bc
We really value your feedback, because it highlights the areas that matter most to our users. BlompGo is not abandoned, it’s being improved. Your experience helps us prioritize fixes like the broken link, clearer sync indicators, and better documentation.
Thank you for your patience and for being part of the Blomp family. Please keep us posted if you continue seeing zero sync activity after following the troubleshooting guide, and we’ll work with you directly to resolve it.
With care,
Blomp Support
