Why Won’t BlompGo Open on My Laptop?
How Do I Sign in to BlompGo the Right Way?Fret not, this is an easy fix, and we have your back!
When you click the BlompGo shortcut, one of two things should happen:
A) You get the sign-in screen → great, just log in.
B) You see a message saying BlompGo is already running → this just means it’s already open in the background.
If you only see “already running” and nothing else, BlompGo is already active. Depending on where you choose to install it, you’ll find it there. Do you remember which option you selected? If not, check your drives or the default install folders, such as:
C:/Users/[YourName]/
C:/Program Files/
If you still can’t find it,
1. Look in your system tray (bottom-right of your screen) and look for the BlompGo icon
2. Right-click it → hit Logout.
3. Now reopen BlompGo, and you’ll be back at the sign-in screen.
That usually fixes it. If not, reach out to us at support@blomp.com.
Here’s your step-by-step guide to signing in to BlompGo:
1. Open BlompGo.
2. Enter your email and password.
3. Now choose where to save your files. You’ll see two options:
A: Save in a Folder
Pick any folder on your computer. (Important: whatever folder you choose, you must add /Blomp at the end of the path.)
Example:
C:/Users/YourName/Documents/Blomp
This makes sure your files show up exactly where you expect them.
B: OR Mount as a Drive (Recommended)
Click the OR option and pick a drive (Z:, X:, Y: whichever you like). BlompGo will now appear as a new disk under This PC.
4. From here, you can drag and drop files just like you would on any other drive.
How Does Syncing Work?
Think of BlompGo as your computer’s stress-free storage space. You can copy and paste files into it. You can add new files whenever you like. You can even delete files you don’t need anymore.
Everything you do in your BlompGo folder or drive will be synced automatically to your Blomp account online. No extra steps, no complicated settings.
BlompGo is built to make storage effortless: put it in, take it out, tidy it up, and it all just works.
Does BlompGo Take Up Space On My Computer?
Help!! BlompGo Isn’t Disconnecting. What to do?BlompGo doesn’t keep full copies of your files on your computer, so it normally won’t use up space on your main drive. The extra drive you see is just a virtual connection to your Blomp cloud. The only time you might notice a small change in your free space is while files are being uploaded. While the upload is in progress, Windows may hold temporary copies until the transfer is complete. Once the upload finishes, that space is released again and your files stay safely in the Blomp cloud, not on your drive.
So, you've got a stubborn Blomp Go connection, and it's playing hard to disconnect? Or maybe it is showing, “this network connection doesn’t exist" when you try to disconnect it.
No worries, we've got two methods to help you bid it farewell.
First Method: Log Out from the Deskband / Systray:
1. Head down to the deskband or systray in the lower right corner of your PC/laptop.
2. Right-click on the Blomp Go icon and select "Log Out."
3. Watch it vanish from the deskband.
4. Now, if you click on server Z in PC networks, it might be there but in a disconnected state.
Second Method: Head to the Task Manager:
1. Right-click on the taskbar and open the Task Manager.
2. Hunt down "rclone" in the open processes. Mac users can search for it; Windows users, scroll down until you spot it.
3. Right-click on "rclone" and select the option "End Task."
4. Tada! Blomp Go will gracefully unmount from your PC.
And there you have it, two simple methods to disconnect Blomp Go and keep your tech world clutter-free.
